Diwali Candles
Diwali, a festival of lights celebrated worldwide by millions of Hindus, Sikhs, and Jains, falls on November 12, 2023 this year.
Throughout this 5-day festival, the triumph of light over darkness is celebrated in a variety of ways: candles are lit, sparklers and fireworks are set off, sweets are enjoyed, and gifts are exchanged among family and friends.
I am certainly no expert on Diwali, but I've had the fortune of learning about Diwali from some lovely women I know who are from India and do celebrate. I first met these women at a local pop-up market in San Jose, California that I vended at with Scented Designs a number of years ago.
As it turned out, these lovely ladies were starting a gift box company, The White Mulberry, and were interested in including our hand-poured soy candles as part of their gorgeous gift boxes handcrafted in the Bay Area, California.
